Preliminary

LEGISLATIVE AIDES APPOINTMENT (AMENDMENT) LAW 2007

Section 1

1. Short Title and Commencement. This Law may be cited as the Legislative Aides Appointment (Amendment) Law 2007 and shall come into force on 3rd day of July, 2007.

Section 2

2. Interpretation. In this Law: "Principal Law" means the Legislative Aides Appointment Law of 1999.

Section 3

3. Amendment of Section 3. Subsection (2) of section 3 of the Principal Law is hereby amended by deleting the words "Confidential Secretary" and inserting instead the words "Private Secretary".

Section 4

4. Amendment of Section 4. Subsection (1) of section 4 of the Principal Law is hereby amended by deleting the words "Confidential Secretary" and substituting therefor the words "Private Secretary".

Section 5

5. Amendment of Section 6. Section 6 of the Principal Law, is hereby amended by recasting it to read as follows "A Legislative Aide shall vacate office at the pleasure of the Member that employed him".
