DELTA STATE UNIVERSITY (AMENDMENT) LAW, 2021
Section 1
1. Short title. This Law may be cited as the Delta State University (Amendment) Law, 2021.
Section 2
2. Interpretation. In this Law: "Principal Law" means the Delta State University Law, 1998.
Section 3
3. Amendment of Section 3 of the Principal Law. Section 3 of the Principal Law is amended as follows: (a) by deleting sub-sections (3) and (4) and substituting the following sub-sections: "(3) The University shall have two campuses, with the main campus at Abraka and the other campus at Oleh which will be known and referred to as: (a) Abraka (Main) Campus; and (b) Oleh Campus; (4) Faculties in the University shall be located as follows: (a) ABRAKA (MAIN) CAMPUS (i) Education; (ii) Arts; (iii) Social Sciences; (iv) Pure Sciences; (v) Medical Sciences; (vi) Agriculture; (vi) Management Science; and (viii) Environmental Sciences. (b) OLEH CAMPUS (i) Law; and (ii) Engineering. (b) in sub-section (6), by deleting “three" and substituting "two"; and (c) by inserting after sub-section (6) the following sub-section: (7) without prejudice to the provisions of Section 3(5) and (6) of the Principal Law, the Faculties of Agriculture, Management Science and Environmental Sciences in Abrake (Main) Campus shall continue to operate with effect from the commencement of this Law".
