Preliminary

COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, AGBOR (AMENDMENT) LAW 2010

Section 1

1. Short Title and commencement. This Law may be cited as the College of Education, Agbor (Amendment) Law 2010 and shall come into force on the 14th day of October, 2010.

Section 2

2. Interpretation. In this Law: "Principal Law" means the College of Education, Agbor Law 2002 (in this Law referred to as "the Principal Law").

Section 3

3. Amendment of section 7(1) of the Principal Law (The Provost). The Principal Law is hereby amended by deleting the provision of subsection (1) of section 7 and substituting therefor the words: "7(1) The Provost who shall be the Chief Academic Officer and Chief Executive of the College shall be appointed for a single term of five years by the Governor, from amongst three suitably qualified persons of academic eminence recommend by the Council of the College through the appropriate authority. (2) Without prejudice to subsection (1) of this section, the Provost shall not be eligible for reappointment after completing the single term of five years thereafter."
