Change of Titles Law

Section 1
1. Citation.
This Law may be cited as the Change of Titles Law.
Section 2
2. Interpretation.
In this Law “enactment” means any law and includes a law, order-in-council, order,
proclamation, rule, regulation, commission, by-law or notice made or issued under any law.
Section 3
3. Changes in titles of public offices.
Whenever any change of any title of a public office is made, the Executive Council may by
order direct that wherever the former title may appear in the enactments in force the
State on the date of such order there shall be substituted the new title of such public
office.
Section 4
4. Changes in departmental, etc., titles.
Whenever any change of the title of any department or ministry or of any branch of any
department or Ministry is made, the Executive Council may by order direct that wherever
the former, title may appear in the enactments in force in the State on the date of such
order there shall be substituted the new title of such department or Ministry or branch
thereof.
